Titan the Life of John D. Rockefeller

One often gets the impression that Ron Chernow hates other Biographers. That is to say, he seems to very much want to be the definitive biographer of any subject he takes up; and he usually drops 800-1,000 pages on you trying. In this case it was a fascinating subject and a good read. In parts it seemed Chernow wants the reader to feel the depths of the strict Christian ethic of JDR and family. Whereas, personally, I would have quite happily taken his word for it and moved on to other story points.
