These are two goals I haven’t accomplished for 30 years. And I didn’t accomplish them in 2022. Yet I remain undeterred. Half way to my weight loss goal, I fele better in many ways than I have in years. But I have been down at this weight once before and lost focus. This hasn’t been easy, but I do feel my habits have changed.. My strategy is clear, consume less and move more.

I am inspired by setting goals and achieving them.

Fitness and Weight Loss.

It has been a year of unwinding. Twenty-five years of stress formed from the financial, political and social pressures of owning a small business does not float a way overnight. But gradually, as I work to hand things off to the new owners, I have been able to relax. I am now calmer than I have been in years. And most of my remaining anxiety is habitual. It is a sort of muscle memory that reflexively takes over until I remind myself of everything that has changed.

I am quite certain I will never lose that “founders energy." But I have put myself in a position where I can retrain it into a positive and more creative force. It will take continued mindfulness on my part to remember things are no longer dyer, and the need for paranoia and fear has greatly diminished.

To that end, this could be a seminal year. Time to create, and encourage others to do so as well.
